we act differently to our family and friend, so are we hypocrite?
no, we are just doing our social role, its a social norm. There's a schemas in our mind which eventually leads to stereotyping(racism)
if it's coming from an observer, we are using attribution. almost always we observe based on internal attribution. then we slowly will divert our thoughts to external attribution, hence we will be more forgiving.
